North Texas Day of Giving

About 7 million people live in North Texas. Together we can make a difference.

North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event to raise as much money as possible for North Texas nonprofits on one day. This year amazing supporters like you helped BJNC raise over $11,000 on North Texas Day of Giving! These funds are going toward completing our new interactive outdoor classroom – a pollinator garden. This garden will feature Texas native plants, trees and flowers – all of which bring native butterflies, bees and birds which are currently dwindling in population.

This garden will function as an outdoor classroom – children will learn the basics of colors, shapes and counting to more complex ideas about how they are integrally connected to the natural world. The garden will also educate adults about:

  • The importance of bees, butterflies, birds and other pollinators in our ecosystem, and the dangers they face
  • Water-wise irrigation practices and water conservation methods
  • Native landscaping – showing how environmentally friendly landscaping can be incorporated into any landscape palette

Be on the lookout for the next North Texas Day of Giving on Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6 AM Central – Midnight.
