President – Debra Edmondson
Attorney Debra Edmondson graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas in 1996 with a B.A. in Government and Politics. She attended Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University and graduated with a J.D. degree in 2004. Edmondson is passionate about her adopted hometown, Southlake, and has been actively involved in that community for over fifteen years. She served two terms on the Southlake Planning and Zoning Commission and was elected to the Southlake City Council in 1998. Edmondson is currently the President of the Board of Directors for the Bob Jones Nature Center Organization, which works closely with the City of Southlake in the oversight of the Bob Jones Nature Center.
Vice President – Jane Musser
Jane graduated from Texas A&M University and has 20 Years pharmaceutical, biotech & diagnostic lab experience. Partner at AM/PM Strategy, a progressive consulting group that helps pharmaceutical, biotech and related industries capitalize on their field investment. She’s held various leadership positions; Director Medical Education with Corinthian Reference Lab, Associate Director Medical Affairs, Vertex Pharmaceuticals and most recent Vice president of the Bob Jones Nature Center.
Secretary – Buddy Luce
Buddy earned his Bachelors in Finance from UTA and JD from St. Mary’s University Law School. He and Ann have been married for 40 years, and they have two beautiful children; Stephanie who’s a doctor and John a lawyer. He is committed to the environment, has a love for nature and the solitude, education and his community. Buddy served on the Carroll ISD Board of Directors from 1990-1999 as President. He oversaw the teen court program, and is board certified with the Texas Board of Legal Specialist, for both civil trial and family law. One outing to the Bob Jones Nature Center and he knew he wanted to be a part of its history.
Treasurer – Daisy Edwards
Daisy volunteers often at the BJNC. Animal welfare has always been a passion and aside from not being able to turn away a stray, she has volunteered with many rescue groups. Daisy is currently involved in her children’s education, volunteering with their school and church communities, as well as with various outreach organizations such as Mid Cities Care Corp, Open Arms and Wednesdays Child Benefit Corporation.
Professionally, Daisy served for several years on National Association of Realtor committees, being awarded Realtor of the Year at her local chapter, among other awards. She is a broker and owner of American Realty Group in Colleyville – www.argtexas.com Â Daisy brings with her, relationships with local business owners and government officials that she hopes will serve to improve community awareness for the Eastern Cross Timbers Ecosystem.
Daisy feels her mission is to let her children have opportunities to learn about life and the world through exploration and travel. She feels that BJNC provides a large piece of that learning opportunity for all children in this community and is dedicated to helping the center flourish and grow.
Bruce Rosenstiel’s corporate career spanned over 20 years with Verizon Communications in a variety of positions within Accounting, Finance, Project Management, and Performance Excellence where he designed, created, facilitated, trained and/or led teams that introduced process improvements and software solutions to improve departmental accuracies and efficiencies. Bruce served on a number of benchmarking teams, participated in best practice consortiums, and presented at several Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award conferences. He was a senior examiner and feedback writer for the Texas Award for Performance Excellence. After his corporate career, Bruce began volunteering his time and expertise to a number of community organizations. He serves as gallery manager for the Palace Arts Center in Grapevine, treasurer for the Friends of the Grapevine Library, treasurer for the Grapevine Art Project, and treasurer for the Bob Jones Nature Center. In addition, he is the founder and president of the BJNC Camera Club, teaches photography at BJNC and the Grapevine Community Activities Center, and leads photographic tours. http://www.smallworldphotos.net/
Banking professional with over 20 years of commercial and real estate lending experience focused on small-to-mid size companies. McCauley is the current President and CEO at Providence Bank of Texas, SSB; Past Senior Development Officer at First National and a graduate of Texas A&M University – Mays Business School.
Lisa joined the BJNC Board in 2016. She brings with her over 25 years of experience in being involved with community volunteer work and non-profit organizations. Lisa was the Public Relations Manager for Goodwill Industries in Houston Texas where she organized special events such as galas, golf tournaments, and luncheons. She also gained extensive experience in fund-raising and marketing while at Goodwill to bring awareness to the public about the value of non-profits through writing proposals, newsletters, and press releases.
Outside of work, Lisa has served her community in many ways such as being involved in PTOs for her children’s schools, membership in the Junior League for both Houston and Dallas where she wrote and produced children’s plays, complied life stories for foster children, and helped with the upkeep of the gardens at a women’s shelter. She has served on the BJNC Naturally Sweet Gala. Her joy for helping others in her many volunteer capacities is evident.
Lisa feels like she can serve BJNC by working with groups to develop and implement ideas for reaching younger families within our community and making them aware of the beautiful nature area right here in our midst that is the Bob Jones Nature Center.
Cindy is the owner of Original Production, a writing, editing, and research company in Southlake. She loves this city and is dedicated to keeping it remarkable by joining forces with BJNC as a board member. Cindy has experience in strategic planning, fundraising, public relations and various other areas of marketing.
Cindy has served her community in various ways. She has been a member of the Southlake Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (where she was named Director of the Year in 2011), served as chair of Oktoberfest, President of the Friends of Southlake Library and has been a liaison on behalf of the BJNC to the Dallas Stars Hockey Club and the Southlake Chamber of Commerce. Cindy is thrilled to be given the opportunity to serve in a more important capacity as board member of the BJNC to help advance their mission to preserve and provide education for the Eastern Cross Timbers Ecosystem.
Hon. Shawn McCaskill
Shawn earned his Juris Doctorate from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio in 1998, and served as a Briefing Attorney at the Fifth District Court of Appeals in Dallas from 1998-1999. Shawn is currently an attorney and shareholder at the law firm of Godwin Bowman & Martinez PC in Dallas, where he serves as a member of the Executive Committee, Senior Vice President, Corporate Secretary, and Chair of the Appellate Section. Shawn is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Shawn was elected to Southlake City Council in 2015, and was named Deputy Mayor Pro Tem in 2016, and serves on the Southlake Parks Development Corp., Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone No. 1, State Highway 114 Corridor Committee, and the Audit Committee. Shawn previously served on Southlake’s Planning and Zoning Commission and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.
Shawn joined the BJNC board in 2016. He believes in and supports the BJNC mission to restore and preserve the Eastern Cross Timbers ecosystem. Shawn plans to help strengthen the bond between the City of Southlake and BJNC so the two can work together in fundraising and programming for the future.
Christopher is currently President of Associated Time and Parking Controls in Dallas. He has professional experience in human resources, administration management and educational instruction. Christopher also serves as President of the Carroll ISD Board of Trustees and believes that there can be synergy between CISD and BJNC. In the past, Christopher has served as co-chair of both the Naturally Sweet Gala and the Grace Gala. He holds a BA in psychology from the University of California in Irvine.
Though now retired, John has not slowed down in his daily activities. Joining the BJNC Board in 2016, he brings with him a wealth of experience and energy and is interested in assisting with any managerial needs of the organization. John is a CPA and was a Vice President for Waste Management, Inc for 32 years. Other than BJNC, he now spends his time working on the Boards of Miracle League of Southlake, Southlake Dragon Dreamers, and the Saints Athletic Soccer Association. He is also involved with his church, Southlake Kiwanis Club, Grapevine Elks Club, Southlake Chamber of Commerce, Mid Cities Care Corp, Timarron Country Club, and the Timarron Homeowners Association. Previously, he was Chairman of the Southlake Parks and Recreation Board, a Board member of the Southlake Park Development Corp., and a Board member of Call A Ride Southlake(C.A.R.S.).
Glenn is an attorney with Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson LLP. He has been a member of the Texas House of Representatives, on the Board of Regents for Texas Southern University, and on the Board of Trustees for Texas Wesleyan University. Glenn has been impressed with the educational and historical value of the BJNC and would like to help further its mission.
